There came a time in my life where I came to the sobering conclusion that if I lose my attitude, I will lose my ministry. So seriously did this insight concern me that I gave my wife permission to point out to me any time she noticed that my bad attitude was affecting my life and my ministry. CreativeI never thought that I was a creative person. It just wasn’t in my personality. And then I read an article about schools that kept telling children to be creative while still colouring in neatly and accurately within the lines. The article explained that although we try to push our children to be creative using selective criteria, we are actually encouraging them and grading them to follow a rigid set of rules. Could this have been the environment in which I was educated?

A palliative care nurse by the name of Bronnie Ware was highly qualified to write the book, The Top Five Regrets of the Dying. Interestingly, the number one regret she wrote was, “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
