On Saturday 7^th April 1979 we were married, ten years after we first met.
Never could we have imagined the unfolding plans that God had for us as we felt certain that Sue would continue her career as a dental hygienist and Rod as project manager of a large new housing and recreational development along the coast of Adelaide, South Australia.

(61) “ALWAYS BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE”

One of the qualities I have been consciously working on in recent times is that of being someone whose life is characterised by bringing something to the table. In short, it is someone who adds value to the world in which they live wherever they go.
Recently, I initiated a conversation with the lady who serves me at my favourite Subway store and in the process, I learned that she had been working there for 21 years. Suddenly I felt a prompt to go and buy her a twenty first anniversary card and a box of chocolates to celebrate her years of service. …

(51) “FINISH WELL”

“…. I consider my life worth nothing to me; MY ONLY AIM IS TO FINISH THE RACE and COMPLETE THE TASK the Lord Jesus has given me.” Acts 20:24
Unlike leaders today where it is reported that only one in three finish well, the Apostle Paul was prepared to complete the task the Lord had given him even though “the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardship are facing me.” Retirement never was an option for him. And neither it should be for us.
So why should we finish well?

SELF-LEADERSHIP….before we can conquer the world, we must first conquer the self

The apostle Paul tells of the high priority he placed on Self-Leadership in his first letter to the Corinthians where he writes, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize?
