A WORD FOR THE NEW YEAR… 2022
“So Peter left the prison cell, following an angel. But all the time he thought it was a vision. He didn’t realise it was actually happening. They passed the first and second guard posts and came to the iron gate leading into the city, and this opened for them all by itself. When we consider the things that bring pleasure to God, it seems that there may not be anything more important than our faith in Him and His promises. So much so, that Peter tells us how God is even prepared to allow us to endure great trials to prove that our faith is genuine, just as fire tests and purifies gold. He continues that our faith is even more precious than gold because when our faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring us much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed …
